Stone aggregate will help build facilities for disadvantaged children and families

Donation helps nature-based charity

Maidstone charity Dandelion Time helps families explore, play and connect with nature in a farm setting. It provides therapies including crafts, gardening and animal care.

The material we've provided, alongside construction partner GRAHAM and supplier Aggregate Industries, will help build new woodland toilets and improve paths.

Caroline Fish, Corporate Relations Manager, at Dandelion Time said:

“I would just like to take the opportunity to say a huge thank you to everyone from the team at National Highways. Their professionalism coupled with the finished product will transform the schools offering and capacity to work with the city’s most vulnerable families. This simply is not a path to us, but a gateway to provide an environment where students can learn and develop their full potential in an accessible and safe space.”

Together with GRAHAM, we're currently upgrading the M2 junction 5 Stockbury Roundabout with the A249.

Dan Rollinson, National Highways M2 junction 5 project manager said:

“We are really happy to support such a worthy cause and help Dandelion Time create better access to these vital additional teaching spaces. It’s great to be able to support our local communities in this way. We may be a national company, but our workforce is local to our sites and they enjoy being able to give something back in this way.”

Stevie Collins, GRAHAM Project Manager concluded:

“We’re proud to be supporting the invaluable work of Dandelion Time and are pleased to have partnered with Aggregate Industries to provide 10 tonnes of stone aggregate to assist with the construction of new woodland toilets, enabling the charity to accommodate more families for therapeutic sessions. We hope this contribution will further enhance the incredible work of Dandelion Time and help make a positive impact on the lives of those in our local community."
